Bank transfer: the slowest method, and the easiest to trace

A bank transfer is rarely the fastest way to pay, but it is the easiest to document: every movement shows on your statement with date, amount and account. For large deposits and especially for withdrawals, it is often the route operators use. Available methods and limits depend on your account and country — confirm in the cashier.

Depositing by bank transfer

  1. In the cashier, choose bank transfer. The operator shows an IBAN, a beneficiary name and a reference.
  2. In your online banking, send the transfer from an account in your name.
  3. Enter the reference exactly as shown in the payment description field.
  4. Keep the receipt until the balance appears.

Check the beneficiary name before sending. If the IBAN belongs to an entity whose name has nothing to do with the operator, ask first and transfer afterwards.

Withdrawing by bank transfer

For withdrawals, register an IBAN in your own name in the cashier. The request stays pending during the operator's review; once approved, it enters the banking system and arrives within normal transfer times. That is why a request made on Friday evening may only arrive the following week, with nothing wrong at all.

Ownership: the same name on both sides

The rule that delays transfers most is ownership. Most operators require the bank account to be in the casino account holder's name — the name on the ID sent for verification. A joint account may need extra proof. Depositing from a relative's account is the shortest route to a blocked withdrawal.

The statement and the licence

A bank transfer leaves a trail, which helps in a dispute — but only if there is someone to show it to. On a site in your regulator's register, you can take the matter to the regulator after the operator's own process. On an unlicensed site, the statement proves the payment, but there is no regulator in your market to present it to. Check the domain before your first transfer.

Bank transfer FAQ

Why is a bank transfer slower than a card?
Because it follows bank processing: transfers made outside business hours or at weekends may only be handled the next working day, and the operator still has to match the payment using the reference.
I forgot the reference. What should I do?
Contact the operator's support with the transfer receipt (date, amount, sending account). Without the reference, the payment has to be matched to your account manually.
Can I withdraw to a different account from the one I deposited from?
Many operators only pay out to accounts in the account holder's name, and some require the same account used for deposits. Check the terms before changing banks.
