Crypto at the casino: what changes when you pay in Bitcoin or stablecoins
Some cashiers list cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum or Litecoin next to cards and bank transfers. This page explains how a crypto deposit and a crypto withdrawal work, which risks are specific to crypto and why a "crypto casino" is neither more nor less licensed for it. Available methods and limits depend on your account and country — confirm in the cashier.
Play nowCoins you are likely to see
| Coin | Characteristic | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Best known; very volatile price | Network fee and confirmations required |
| USDT | Pegged to the US dollar; exists on several networks | Which network the cashier accepts |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Fees vary with network traffic | Cost of sending at that moment |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Relatively fast confirmations | Minimum amount accepted |
Crypto deposit
- In the cashier, choose the coin and — if several are offered — the network.
- Copy the generated address (and the tag or memo, if the cashier shows one).
- In your wallet or exchange, send on exactly the same network.
- Wait for the required confirmations and keep the transaction hash.
A bitcoin deposit cannot be undone: if the address or network is wrong, the amount can be lost. Make your first transfer a small one.
Crypto withdrawal
To withdraw, you give the address of your own wallet and the network. The operator reviews the request like any other withdrawal — identity checks included — and only then sends it. Before confirming, compare the first and last characters of the address; clipboard malware that swaps copied addresses exists and strikes exactly at that moment.
Conversion and volatility
There are usually two conversions: from crypto into the account currency when you deposit, and back when you withdraw. In between, the coin's price can move a lot, except for pegged coins such as USDT. In a hypothetical example, a deposit worth €100 in Bitcoin may be worth €90 or €110 on withdrawal day without a single bet placed.
Crypto and licences: two different questions
Seeing Bitcoin in the cashier tells you nothing about who regulates the site. The licence question is always answered the same way: is the exact domain in your regulator's register? If not, national self-exclusion does not reach it, there is no duty to offer deposit limits and no regulator in your market stands above the operator — with crypto or any other method.
