Mastercard: reading your statement as carefully as the cashier
Mastercard works much like any other card in a casino cashier. What deserves attention is the paper trail: the name on your statement, what happens with prepaid cards, and where your withdrawal goes. This page covers deposits and withdrawals with Mastercard and the checks worth doing first. Available methods and limits depend on your account and country — confirm in the cashier.

- Choose Mastercard in the cashier and enter the amount.
- Use a card in your own name — third-party cards cause blocked withdrawals.
- Approve with your bank's 3-D Secure step.
- Note the statement descriptor when it appears on your account.
The statement descriptor
The descriptor is the name your bank shows for the payment. It is often a payment processor or a company name rather than the brand you saw on screen. That is normal, but it is also a useful check: if it changes from one deposit to the next, or names something unrelated to gambling, ask the operator why. For many players, the statement is also the most honest record of how much they have deposited in a month.
Prepaid and virtual cards
| Card type | Deposit | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Debit Mastercard | Usually accepted | Refund to card or bank transfer |
| Credit Mastercard | Depends on bank and market rules | Refund to card or bank transfer |
| Prepaid Mastercard | Sometimes accepted | Often not possible |
| Virtual card | Depends on the operator | Check before depositing |
Withdrawing with Mastercard
Many operators send withdrawals back to the card up to the amount you deposited and pay anything above that by bank transfer. Others only pay out by transfer. Register a bank account in your name early and finish identity verification before your first withdrawal request, so the payout is not held while documents are checked.
Before you pay
A card payment links the site to your bank account. Confirm first that the exact domain appears in your regulator's licence register. On a licensed site you have a regulator above the operator, and in many markets mandatory deposit limit tools; on an unlicensed site, neither can be assumed. Your bank's gambling block, if it offers one, works regardless.
